The stage is set for the Guinness-powered NGO League Season 6 finale this Saturday, December 20th, at King’s Park Arena, Bweyogerere.
After a thrilling penultimate round last month, the semifinals and championship final are poised to crown this season’s TNLV champions.
Last month’s fixtures, encompassing both the Round of 16 and quarterfinals, saw the latter’s outcomes steal the show. Defending champions Los Bandidos were ousted in a narrow 1–0 defeat to Season 4 runners-up Ba Musaayi Muto, courtesy of Humphrey Enyang’s decisive strike. Hornbills displayed clinical precision with a 3-0 win over FC Butida, while Ba Guy edged past Tyrants 2-1, maintaining their formidable defensive record.
The penultimate round’s biggest upset came from the Barbarians, who overturned Pool A leaders AFewGoodMen in a thrilling 3-1 comeback. After falling behind, captain Andrew Hygie equalized before league top scorer Ivan Otai delivered a brace from just four shots, extending his season tally to 12 goals and solidifying his position at the summit of the scoring charts.
With these results, the NGO League Final Four were confirmed: Ba Guy vs. Barbarians and Hornbills vs. Ba Musaayi Muto.
The first semifinal promises an intriguing clash as Ba Guy takes on the Barbarians. Ba Guy will rely on their disciplined defense and tactical organization to contain the attacking threat of the Barbarians, who enter the match brimming with confidence after their 3–1 quarterfinal comeback. League top scorer Ivan Otai has been in electrifying form, and his sharp finishing could prove decisive if Ba Guy’s defense falters. The game is expected to be a tactical battle, with Ba Guy looking to exploit set-pieces and counterattacks, while the Barbarians aim to dominate possession and unleash Otai’s lethal finishing.

The second semifinal sees Hornbills face Ba Musaayi Muto in a showdown of defensive resilience versus knockout efficiency. Hornbills have impressed with consecutive clean sheets, led by goalkeeper Ibrahim Kakaire, who provides a steadying presence at the back. Ba Musaayi Muto enter the match with momentum from their narrow 1–0 victory over defending champions Los Bandidos, highlighted by Enyang’s decisive goal. Expect a tightly contested encounter where tactical discipline, defensive solidity, and the ability to seize crucial moments will likely determine who advances to the championship final.
Guinness, the league’s sponsor, continues to play a central role in elevating the competition. Mercy Atwongyeire, Project Manager for Premium Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited, commented, “The passion, commitment and energy displayed throughout the season reflect the incredible growth of the NGO League.
