After a short break, the I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series will officially tee off the 2026 season this Saturday, March 14, at Entebbe Club’s par-71 golf course.
The new season, which marks the tournament’s fourth edition, is expected to start on a high, with organisers anticipating a full course following strong early entries.
Anticipation for the season has also been fueled by the continuation of the popular online trivia segment running from Monday to Friday. The trivia features tournament, and sponsor-related questions, testing golfers’ knowledge of the series as well as the game in general. Winners of the quiz will be rewarded with bottles of Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve during the 19th hole experience this Saturday.
Katogo Captain Elly Kibuka Mukasa says all preparations are in place for a smooth and exciting tee-off of the season opener this Saturday.
“We are fully prepared for this weekend. From the pace of the online registrations, we anticipate a packed course. Our promise is to deliver a memorable day for everyone, both on the course and beyond it. And when it comes to the 19th hole experience, our partners have truly pulled out all the stops to ensure the season begins in style,” he said.
Tournament partners have lined up prizes for the top performers in both the men’s and ladies’ categories, as well as for winners of the side bets.
And most importantly, golfers have a chance to drive home in a brand-new zero-mileage Mitsubishi Outlander Sport courtesy of Victoria Motors and insured by GA Insurance if they can land a hole-in-one.

The season opens with the ‘It’s Up To Me’ format, an individual competition making its debut in the series. In this format, after all players tee off, one designated player in each group chooses where they will play their second shot from and also decides where the rest of the group must play theirs. Only the second-shot position is controlled.
The challenge intensifies if an out-of-bounds ball is selected, forcing affected players back to the tee to play their third shot. Winners will be determined by the lowest nett scores at the end of the round.
Annette Nakiyaga- Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank, said the series has grown steadily over the years and is ready to reach new heights in its fourth edition.
“We’re proud to see the series tee off its fourth edition this weekend. It has been quite a journey, and we’re excited about what lies ahead. Together with our partners, whose support has been vital and whose contributions we trust will help make this edition a success, we look forward to an unforgettable season,” she said.
Johnnie Walker will be spicing things up at the 19th hole experience with delicious cocktails and exclusive bottle offers.
The after-party promises lively entertainment with a Caribbean theme headlined by A Pass, a versatile star known for his dancehall hits and soulful voice. Golfers and guests can look forward to a vibrant celebration as they unwind and enjoy the season opener in style.
The 2026 I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series is supported by Johnnie Walker, Victoria Motors, GA Insurance, RwandAir, Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa, Kampala Serena Hotel, Fenon Events, Goldman’s Luxury, NBS Sport, Case Hospital, and Time Cop Security.
