Victoria University has today organized a series of workshops aimed at equipping students and recent graduates with essential skills for career readiness and employability. The sessions, held on Wednesday, focused on empowering participants to navigate the competitive job market and position themselves for success.

This initiative follows the university’s eighth graduation ceremony last week, where over 1,400 students received degrees and certificates across various disciplines.

Leading the workshop was Christine Ninsiima Borore, a renowned career coach and business strategist, who shared insights on crafting an impactful CV that generates instant feedback. Ninsiima, the lead consultant at Epitome Consults Ltd, is a certified public speaker and entrepreneur with a wealth of experience in career development.

Borore emphasized the importance of tailoring CVs to specific job roles, highlighting key skills, and presenting a professional profile that stands out. “Your CV is your first impression, and it needs to reflect your capabilities in a way that attracts employers immediately,” she advised.

The workshop is part of Victoria University’s ongoing efforts to enhance employability among its graduates by providing real-world skills that complement academic qualifications.

As the job market becomes increasingly competitive, the university is committed to preparing its students to thrive, with workshops and career guidance playing a pivotal role in ensuring their career readiness.
