Muhammad Ssegirinya is over the moon after the Executive Board of the National Unity Platform finally confirmed him as the party flag bearer for Kawempe North MP Seat. Ssegirinya beat former DP Bloc member Sulaiman Kidandala.

While speaking to the press shortly after being announced as one of the successful candidates in the second round of evaluation, Ssegirinya said his ground mobilization has won him trust from his electorate and the NUP executive committee.

Ssegirinya disclosed that securing the NUP ticket is a boost for his mission to go and represent Kawempe North in the August House. He stated that he is launching a campaign dubbed ‘Tuwangula Ne Kyagulanyi.’
