Speke Resort Munyonyo will this October host its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, a colourful event that ushers in the festive season with pomp and celebration.
For starters, a cake mixing ceremony is a cherished Christmas tradition where participants gather to mix dried fruits, nuts, and aromatic spices with wine and liquor. The ritual is not only a symbol of preparing Christmas cakes but also represents good luck, abundance, and togetherness as the holiday season approaches.
The luxurious lakeside resort has lined up a host of exciting activities to spice up the event and elevate the holiday mood.
On Friday, October 17, guests will enjoy a live band at Lake Terrace, the highlight Cake Mixing Ceremony, plus acrobatic displays, fire dancing, kids’ goodie bags, and interactive clown entertainment.
On Saturday, October 18, the fun continues with Happy Hour at Viking Bar from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by a special Kids Movie Night from 6 p.m. onwards.
On Sunday, October 19, festivities will feature another live band at Lake Terrace, engaging kids’ activities, archery and paintball, a vibrant Sunday Market at Lake Grill, and a spectacular Diwali Food and Music Festival capped with fireworks in the evening.
During this festive period, guests can book a luxurious room at the resort for as low as USD 120 per night for a single room.
