White might be the colour most commonly associated with Christmas, but Johnnie Walker is set to paint Uganda black this festive season with a contest that will test and reward the cocktail mixing skills of its customers.

Through a competition dubbed ‘Paint The World Black’, consumers with the highest number of Johnnie Walker Black Label Facebook post shares will win vouchers and a luxury weekend for two at Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park.

Participants will be required to buy a bottle of Black Label from participating stores and take videos of their shopping experience, the cocktails made with the drink and pictures of them showing friends how to they take their Black Label.

The videos will be uploaded on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #PaintTheWorldBlack and #KeepWalkingUganda.

During the launch of the competition at the Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) head offices in Luzira on Friday, UBL Head of Whisky, Ms. Annete Nakiyaga, said the competition is set to encourage the festive season’s spirit of fun, love, sharing and celebrating the achievements of the year.

To spread the holiday cheer even more, the UBL Head of Spirits, Edgar Birungi announced a 10 per cent discount on Black Label, Red Label and Double Black Label during the festive season. Participating stores include House of Walker, Game Stores and Shoprite Lugogo, Capital Shoppers, Quality Supermarkets and others.

The competition will end on December 23.
