Seventeen years in music is no small achievement. And gospel singer Levixone wants to celebrate the milestone in style. The singer is set to bring together some of Africa’s biggest gospel names for a night of music and worship at the Kampala Serena Hotel, tomorrow, Saturday, November 7th, at a concert dubbed ‘A One Tym Experience,’ powered by I&M Bank Uganda Limited.
The artistes’ lineup includes gospel singers from Congo, Malawi, Zambia and a star-studded line-up from Uganda.
Among the foreign acts is Congolese gospel singer Grace Lokwa, widely known for his hit song Kumama Papa, which is a favourite for gospel music lovers across the continent.
He will be joined by fellow Congolese singer Fiston Mbuyi, Malawian gospel artiste Wendy Harawa and Zambia’s popular gospel and worship singer Abel Chungu.
For Levixone, the concert carries a deeper meaning than just bringing together big names in gospel music. He will be celebrating 17 years of making music, 17 years of ministry and what he describes as 17 years of God’s faithfulness.
“I am grateful for how far God has brought me, and I cannot wait to share this special moment with the people who have supported me over the years- my fans. We have put together something special, and I believe it will be a great concert. This is not just about me, it is about celebrating what God has done through music and ministry,” said Levixone, who recently returned from a short stint abroad.
His wife- Us-based singer Desire Luzinda, is already in the country and is expected to attend the concert.
I&M Bank, who have partnered with a streak of artistes across different music genres in the recent past, is the official bank partner for Levixone’ s ‘A One Tym Experience‘ concert, adding gospel music to the growing list of partnerships.
“Gospel music plays an important role in inspiring people, and we are proud to support Levixone as he celebrates 17 years in music and ministry. This partnership reflects our brand promise- On Your Side, as we continue to support local talent and the passions that inspire our communities. We look forward to an amazing experience at the Kampala Serena Hotel tomorrow,” said Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, I&M Bank.
