Catherine Twesigye appointed Head of Premium Spirits at Uganda Breweries

Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has appointed Catherine Twesigye as the new Head of Premium Spirits Uganda, signaling a bold move to strengthen leadership in Uganda’s fast-growing premium and reserve spirits category.

A seasoned commercial leader with over a decade of experience in marketing and sales, Catherine brings a powerful blend of strategic acumen, consumer insight, and creative excellence. Her track record spans multiple markets and categories, where she has consistently delivered transformative growth for some of the region’s most iconic brands.

Catherine’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, as UBL accelerates its ambition to lead in luxury experiences and redefine premium consumption for the modern Ugandan consumer. In her new role, she will steward a prestigious portfolio that includes Johnnie Walker, Singleton, Don Julio, Tanqueray, Baileys, and other globally loved brands, tasked with driving their growth, elevating brand experiences, and deepening consumer relevance in a rapidly evolving market.

Throughout her career, Catherine has demonstrated an uncanny ability to blend business strategy with cultural relevance. She served as a Senior Brand Manager at EABL in Nairobi for three years, before returning to UBL for a tailor-made role as the Emerging Channels Project Manager in August last year. In just eight months, she has unlocked new growth opportunities for the business, culminating in her current appointment.

 Her appointment reflects Uganda Breweries’ continued investment in top-tier talent and consumer-centric leadership. With Catherine at the helm, the Premium Spirits division is poised to raise the bar, delivering unforgettable moments, sophisticated offerings, and bold innovation that aligns with the aspirations of a new generation of Ugandan consumers.
