BET has announced a “BRAND NEW” fan-voted category, celebrating rising stars from across the channel’s international footprint and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo is on the list!
The singer who became a Youtube sensation thanks to his viral Sitya Loss video is among the nominees for the first ever Viewer’s Choice “Best International” category at the Awards and he is up against South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest, the United Kingdom’s MIC Lowry, George the Poet and Novelist and Ghana’s Mz Vee.
An elated Eddy Kenzo shared how fans can vote for him.
“My people, let’s all start the voting, just go on all BET platforms and comment with the hashtag #iPickEddy BET International BET Africa on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Let us bring this award home,” he said.
The awards will be held on Sunday June 28th in Los Angeles.
Radio and Weasel are the only other Ugandans to have picked up a BET nomination in 2013, though they lost out to Nigeria’s Ice Prince.
