Yesterday (Tuesday September 20th), singer Irene Ntale unveiled her debut album dubbed ‘Sembera’ at an invite-only evening at Swangz Avenue offices in Muyenga.

It was a great evening as guests that included Djs, producers, songwriters, journalists from both print and broadcast media outlets, were treated to eats and drinks at a cocktail setting in the Swangz Avenue yard.

Swangz Ave production Director- singer Benon Mugumbya later took to the small platform ad introduced singer Joel who strummed his guitar as he sang along; he was a perfect warm up for the evening.

Fast forward, Douglas Lwanga and the celebrant of the evening- Ntale took to the platform and engaged in a Q&A session about the several tracks on the album.

Irene was all smiles as she explained the making of the different songs and why she chose to releae all the 27 tracks at ago; “I felt I had kept my fans waiting for too long. I also didn’t want to keep these tracks yet I have so much more coming up,” she explained.

But as the evening was folding up, Julius Kyazze- the Swangz Avenue CEO was invited to give a few remarks. As expected, the reserved Buzz Events boss said so little before surprising Ntale with   a customized plaque of her album! Ntale couldn’t hold back her tears; she sobbed like a baby as she hugged Julius and everyone around her. She later said they were tears of joy! Congs Irene and the entire Swangz Avenue! The Sembera double-CD album is already on sale at Shs 30K.
