Singer Irene Ntale has spoken about the emotional toll of her struggle to conceive, revealing the pain of wanting children but finding the journey to motherhood difficult.
In a now-deleted TikTok post, Ntale shared her frustration over her efforts to prepare her body for pregnancy, saying the experience has been emotionally challenging.
The singer, who celebrated her wedding about a year ago, also criticised the pressure society places on women to have children, particularly those who are married but have not yet become mothers.
Ntale said some people make insensitive remarks about a woman’s childbearing journey without understanding the personal struggles she may be facing.
“Life is so weird! You wake up one day and you want to have kids and then your body isn’t in position to do it for you just yet and then you try your best and get it to heal and then while it’s chaos and storms people still shame you for not having children!” she wrote.
She also expressed frustration at people who question married women’s childlessness, saying such remarks can be deeply hurtful.
“Bagamba Mbu ohhh bakuwasa naye nga Tewali bana! People really assume the position of God! Wow! God hold me! Cz tonight is exceptionally difficult,” she added.
