The annual event whose previous two editions were held in April 2016 and July 2017 respectively is organised under the theme “The Garden Picnic: Lifestyle, Family and Fashion” and is promising a glamorous and fun day away from hustle and bustle of life.

“Gardening is part of who we are as a people in Uganda, and we believe it should be a fun activity. This year’s theme focuses on the garden picnic and no picnic is complete without Tusker Lite in the picture,” said Grace Namutebi, Brand Manager – Premium Beers at Uganda Breweries Limited.

She added that Tusker Lite’s involvement in this year’s Backyard Gardeners Show is born of a partnership entered into with My Food Network as part of the Tusker Lite & Food agenda.

The Backyard Gardeners Show is an event designed as a lifestyle and family fair and will feature exhibitors like Builders Yard, Letshego and Davis and Shirtliff among others. On the lineup of guest speakers are Diana Nambatya Nansubuga, who is a recipient of the 2016 American Express NGen Leadership Award, and Essau Geofrey Galukande, Deputy Director (Directorate of Gender Community Services & Production, KCCA) among others.

The show will feature music from Myko Ouma, Sharifah Musisi and Michael Kitanda, as well as a fashion showcase from Paple Rayn.
