New Artist Profile: Aida Vee merges African and Western popular music, creating a new style for herself

Ugandan singer based in the Boston Aida Vee, real name Aida Victoria Nakityo, is hardly a new artist in the strict sense of the word, but she’s new to your electronic dance music and we’re glad to have found her.

The singer already has five songs to her name and these include; Calling;Aida Vee ft Gabzie , It’s Only You, Dance It Up among others.

Her style normally walking the line between pop and african music, however, she reveals that her upcoming EP album dubbed the Est. 2015 E.P. will hold a few surprises.

According to the 24-year-old singer, she has been dealing with a lot of personal issues, leaving her no time to work on new music. Nonetheless, she says that she is over that and ready to rock the music waves.

WHO IS AIDA VEE

Aida Victoria Nakityo (born 26th August 1997), is a Ugandan-American AfroPop and RnB singer, songwriter, designer, and entrepreneur. Aida Vee was one of the founders and lead singer for the Urbana Band, an all-genre live performing band.

She also won several talents and creativity awards while in high school at Vienna College Namugongo and represented Africa in the Napa festivals while at Gayaza Junior School in primary/grade three.

At the age of 15, Aida Vee started her fashion brand, House of Toria which developed into VUCA, a streetwear brand that encompassed Versatile Urban Comfortable and Authentic products.

In 2017 she moved to Kenya then the United States of America where she revived and released her music from the year 2015 titled Est. 2015, a playlist that is all about Good Times and youthful love in 2022.
