Vinka, Fik Fameica to headline MUBS Cultural Gala this Friday

All is set for this year’s MUBS Cultural Gala, scheduled for Friday, April 4th, at the MUBS main campus.

This year’s edition will be headlined by Ugandan music sensations Vinka and Fik Fameica, who are set to deliver electrifying performances. Sponsored by Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU), the highly anticipated event will feature a thrilling lineup of artists and DJs, ensuring an unforgettable experience for attendees.

Beyond the music, the gala will be packed with an array of engaging activities, including drama, awards, mimes, and surprise performances. The event will highlight Uganda’s rich cultural diversity, bringing together students from various backgrounds to celebrate their heritage. As an added treat, guests will enjoy free Coca-Cola beverages and interactive experience zones courtesy of CCBU.

“As a company, we are thrilled to be part of this year’s MUBS Cultural Gala, which embodies the richness and diversity of Uganda’s culture and traditions,” she stated.

She added, “Many students are already embracing their skills, working in media as influencers, and developing their artistic potential. Whether through music, dance, or storytelling, we are here to uplift and support young people as they showcase their unique identities.”

Kukundakwe further promised an immersive Coca-Cola experience filled with excitement, fun, and magical moments.

MUBS Guild President Moses Amanya encouraged students to participate enthusiastically, calling on the entire university community to take pride in their cultural backgrounds.

“On April 4th, I urge everyone to be part of this celebration. We should feel proud of who we are. When called upon to represent your tribe, embrace it with all your heart,” Amanya said.

He highlighted MUBS’ diverse student body, which includes representatives from South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and over 40 Ugandan tribes, all of which will be showcased during the event.

“The Cultural Gala is a treasured occasion that happens once a year, and we should celebrate it wholeheartedly.”
