Music lovers are set for a major entertainment experience as UK Afroswing group NSG headlines the inaugural Sounds of the Diaspora concert at the UMA Showgrounds in Lugogo on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The event is organised by Guvnor Uganda in partnership with NSG and Bandali Manor, and aims to celebrate African music, culture and the strong connection between the continent and its global diaspora.

NSG, one of the UK’s biggest African diaspora music groups, is renowned for its energetic live performances and hit songs that fuse Afrobeats, UK rap, dancehall and hip hop. Their Kampala performance is expected to be one of the biggest international music events of the year.

The concert will also feature some of Uganda’s leading performers, including Fik Fameica, MUN G, Aaronx and Tojo 256, who will share the stage with the British group for a night of live music.

Revellers will also enjoy music from some of Uganda’s top DJs, including DJ Alisha, DJ Vanss and DJ Linus, who will keep the party going with a mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano, dancehall, hip hop and other popular urban sounds.

The event will be hosted by Viana Indi, Hype Cartel and Pest MC, alongside other entertainers who will keep the audience engaged throughout the night.

According to the organisers, Sounds of the Diaspora is designed to deliver more than just a concert. Guests can expect world-class stage production, immersive fan experiences and a vibrant celebration of African creativity and culture.

The organisers say the event is part of Guvnor Uganda’s efforts to bring internationally recognised artists to Uganda while promoting the country’s thriving entertainment industry.

Tickets are priced at Shs75,000 for a single pass, Shs1.5 million for a table of four and Shs2.5 million for a table of eight.
