The Johnnie Walker Uganda Amateur Open teed off on Tuesday, August 25th, bringing together some of the continent’s finest amateur golfers for another exciting chapter of the 2026 Johnnie Walker Uganda Open.
But as the competition unfolds on the course, Johnnie Walker has set the stage for what promises to be one of the most anticipated celebrations of this year’s Open.
Dancehall star Karole Kasita and celebrated DJ DJ Vans, are set to headline the Johnnie Walker Afro Exchange 19th Hole Experience, promising golfers and guests an unforgettable evening of music, celebration and culture.
Following the successful Ladies and Seniors Opens, the Amateur Open 19th Hole is expected to raise the bar even higher, transforming the traditional post-golf celebration into an experience that goes beyond the fairways. Kasita will take to the stage with her usual energy, while DJ Vans will take over the decks, with every intention to create the perfect soundtrack for an evening of celebration.
The experience is part of Johnnie Walker’s Afro Exchange platform, which brings together music, fashion, art, food and sport, to celebrate the exchange of ideas and culture across Africa.
