Lillian Mbabazi teams up with Qwela Band for the ultimate live performance at Afromix Nights

Last night, guests who attended the cozy green-filled setting at Terranga Restaurant, Bugolobi were treated to a lively enchanting and mesmerizing performance by Qwela and Lilian Mbabazi.

The two talented Kings and Queens of live band teamed up on the Tusker Malt Music Lounge stage creating enchanting, soulful music that could only put the mind in complete bliss. Guests could not contain their excitement as a few got onto their feet to dance along to the live performances.

When you get a text that says there will be another Afromix Night next month.

Lilian Mbabazi serenaded guests to a number of songs like ‘Vitamin’, ‘Danger’ and it was clear that her angelic voice was the perfect remedy to a cold Thursday night after work as guests were in literal music heaven.

Throughout the evening, Qwela had their guests’ undivided attention as many swayed to the fresh lively songs led by Masha Davids, their lead singer with a voice sweet as honey.

“Tonight’s performance was perfectly balanced with 100% rhythm and 100% soul, it was beautiful and we cannot wait to bring more of these Qwela Afromix musical nights,” said Kelvin Gumisiriza, Tusker Malt Brand Rep.

“Oh baibe, oli vitamin..“

“Qwela,” which means ‘pure’ in Rukiga truly lived up to its name as they presented their guests with the purest of music against a blend of many different cultural backgrounds.
