The Villa in Bukoto was packed to capacity on Sunday as Guinness Matchday on Tour delivered an exciting Premier League experience for the fans.

The Premier League Super Sunday lived up to the hype, delivering all the drama and excitement as Liverpool faced off against Manchester United.

Hosted by NBS Sports’ Andrew Kabura, who also doubles as a Guinness influencer, the event brought together Premier League diehards, mainly Liverpool and Manchester United supporters, all eager to soak in the action of matchday eight.

Manchester United emerged victorious by the end of the evening, securing a vital 2 to 1 win at Anfield, their first in nine years. Bryan Mbeumo gave the Red Devils a dream start with an early goal. Liverpool responded strongly, with Cody Gakpo hitting the post twice before finally equalising midway through the second half.

But United had the final say. In the 84th minute, captain Harry Maguire headed in a well-placed cross from Bruno Fernandes to seal the win. The result marked United’s first back-to-back Premier League victories under Amorim and a significant boost to their campaign.

Inside the Villa, fans won Guinness-branded gift hampers courtesy of the Matchday Minutes.

Fans sipped on cold bottles of Guinness throughout the event, as the house DJs provided a lively soundtrack to the experience.

Guinness Brand Manager Denise Nazzinda said the Villa event stands as a testament to the brand’s ongoing commitment to delivering memorable matchday experiences for fans throughout the entire Premier League season.

“Whether at a bar, a fan park, or any gathering spot, Guinness Matchday on Tour is dedicated to bringing the Premier League experience straight to the fans, no matter where they are,” she said.

The Guinness Matchday on Tour returns on Sunday, October 26, at Next Media Park in Naguru, Kampala. The games of the day are: Wolves vs Burnley, Aston Villa vs Man City, Arsenal vs Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest.
