This Sunday, November 23, 2025, the SMACK League fans get more than just thrilling local fixtures, as the Guinness Matchday Truck is set to transform the IUEA Sports Ground in Kansanga, Kampala, into the ultimate Premier League hub.

Fans can watch live Premier League action on the big screens, featuring the highly anticipated clashes: Arsenal vs Tottenham and Leeds United vs Aston Villa.

According to Mercy Atwongyeire, Project Manager for Premium Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited, with the Guinness Matchday Truck, fans won’t need to rush to the nearest bars or their homes to catch the Premier League action, as the truck brings all the excitement directly to them.

“We are thrilled to bring the Premier League experience to the SMACK League. The Guinness Matchday is all about celebrating the passion of the game, connecting fans with world-class football, and creating unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance. Beyond the Matchday Truck, Guinness will be elevating the experience throughout the entire matchday,” she said.

The Guinness Matchday Truck will also be at the Mwiri League season opener on Saturday, 22 November, a day before the SMACK League matchday, at the same venue.

Meanwhile, Matchday 5 of the SMACK League, hosted by Bushmen (2001) and Pirates (2012) will see the SMACK League commemorate World Prematurity Day, which is observed on 17 November each year to raise awareness of preterm birth and the concerns of preterm babies and their families worldwide.

This comes a few days after the league undertook another CSR initiative by partnering with the Kuliva Foundation to support a clothing donation campaign on matchday three.

During the World Prematurity Day celebration at KNRH this week, Mama Tulia in partnership with SMACK League’s Pirates and Bushmen donated a refrigerator and two water filters to aid in the storage of breast milk and to provide clean and safe drinking water. The matchday activation this weekend will involve the wider alumni community.

To take part in the SMACK League’s World Prematurity Day commemoration this Sunday, one needs to purchase a raffle ticket, with the proceeds going to support Mama Tulia’s 2026 preterm programs. Ticket prices are Shs10,000, Shs50,000 and Shs100,000. More details about the initiative are on the league’s social media platforms.

The matchday will run under the theme “Men’s Involvement in Prematurity,” something that David Kawooya, the SMACK League Chief Marketing Officer, says reflects the league’s growing role beyond sport.

“This is an important matchday, not just because the league is heating up but because we are supporting a very noble cause. As SMACK League, we always use the power of community and sport to make a difference in people’s lives. This weekend’s initiative gives us a chance to extend our reach and positively impact others. We encourage everyone to come with a generous heart and give,” he said.

On the pitch, matchday five promises competitive fixtures and pivotal moments as the regular season takes shape.

Block Owners, sixth in Pool A, will come up against Window who are winless this season in the derby of the day. Pool A table toppers Vendors with 12 points face former champions Zimbaz.

Matchday 5 hosts Pirates who are Pool B table toppers meet Bushmen who are fifth in Pool A in an inter-pool battle in Sunday’s last fixture. In total, there are 11 games on card.
