The highly anticipated event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at Karuzika Hill in Fort Portal and emphasizes the promotion of good health and environmental conservation for the people of Toro.

During a visit to the Palace, a representative from Uganda Breweries Limited, Andrew Kaahwa, praised King Oyo for his cultural leadership and expressed pride in supporting such significant cultural celebrations.

He stated, “As the biggest supporter of cultural celebration and expression in Uganda, Pilsner Lager is proud to be part of yet another coronation anniversary and looks forward to further opportunities to positively impact the community in partnership with the Kingdom of Toro.”

She remarked, “Such generosity has enabled us to fulfill our kingdom duties, especially during our Empango festivities over the years.”

Edgar Kihumuro, Pilsner Brand Manager, highlighted the brand’s commitment to preserving culture and tradition through its support for cultural gatherings. He added that the Empango celebrations would lead up to a broader event called “One Nation,” aimed at celebrating the unity of Ugandans while embracing their diverse cultures.
