Uganda’s music scene took a bold leap forward on Saturday night as Joshua Baraka staged his first-ever concert, B’raka Land, at the Ndere Cultural Centre. The show delivered a vibrant blend of culture, Afro-pop energy, and fresh creativity—and right at the heart of the excitement was the relaunch of Bell Citrus, whose refreshing presence matched the electric mood on stage.

From the moment guests stepped into B’raka Land, the Bell Citrus experience was impossible to miss. Revellers made their entrance along a stylish citrus-themed walkway, stopping for snaps at an interactive mirror photobooth, while sampling bars around the venue ensured Bell Citrus became the evening’s first taste and trending photo.

Before the main act, the amphitheatre buzzed with performances from rising stars Ricky Odrey, Aijuka, and Kamanzi—raw, energetic talent that underscored just how bright the future of Ugandan music is.

Then came the moment the crowd had been waiting for. As Etania wrapped her set, a brief blackout plunged the venue into suspense. Suddenly, the stage exploded into light. A vibrant Bell Citrus dance troupe stormed forward, signalling not just Joshua Baraka’s grand entrance, but also the official rebirth of Bell Citrus.

Baraka immediately connected with the audience as he performed music from his debut Baby Steps album all the way to his latest project, Juvie. One of the night’s standout moments came mid-performance when he raised a pitcher, prompting fans to lift their Bell Citrus bottles for a unified toast to a new chapter.

For Bell Citrus, the night was more than a relaunch—it was a statement.

“We promised ‘Flavour with a Zest,’ and that’s exactly the energy here tonight—young, vibrant and refreshing,” said Lillian Kansiime, Brand Manager for Bell Citrus. “Joshua Baraka represents what Bell Citrus stands for: innovation and a fresh twist. Thank you for supporting Baraka and Bell Citrus as we blend our heritage with a modern, zestful experience.”

The evening also featured surprise appearances from Maurice Kirya, Mun G, Big Trill, A Pass, and Isabel Twongeirwe—artists who have journeyed with Baraka and came to celebrate his milestone moment. In a heartfelt pause, Baraka thanked his mother, his fans, and his sponsors, honouring the roots that shaped his path and the support pushing him into his next chapter.

As Baraka closed his set, Ssese Nation DJs took over and carried the night to its end. But long after the lights dimmed, the energy, cheers, and citrus-infused buzz lingered.
