Speke Resort and Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo has marked World Earth Day 2026 with a strong call for environmental protection, joining the rest of the world in celebrating the day through a tree-planting exercise at the lakeside luxurious facility.

The activity, carried out by staff members, was shared through the resort’s official social media pages, showing employees actively planting trees as part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and green living within the facility.

World Earth Day 2026, marked on April 22, is being observed under the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, which calls on individuals, communities, and businesses to take action in protecting the environment, fighting climate change, and supporting a shift toward renewable energy.
