After electrifying crowds in Hoima, Masaka, Mbarara, Arua and Gulu, the Tusker Lite Neon Raves are finally making their way to Kampala, with auditions set to take place this Saturday at Supremacy Lounge.

The auditions will see dance crews from across Kampala and surrounding areas battle it out for a coveted place in the Neon Raves Kampala finale scheduled for May 30.

Since its launch earlier this year, the Tusker Lite Neon Raves has grown into one of Uganda’s most energetic youth culture platforms, blending dance, nightlife and music into a nationwide movement celebrating creativity and self-expression.

Every city has brought its own unique flavour to the competition. Hoima delivered theatrical performances and comic-book-inspired routines, Masaka stood out with fearless all-female crews, Mbarara fused marathon energy with nightlife culture, Arua transformed the raves into a celebration of West Nile sound and identity, while Gulu closed its regional chapter with explosive performances and a headline set from Ray G.

Now Kampala — Uganda’s entertainment capital — steps into the spotlight.

Known for its fast-paced nightlife, competitive dance scene and influence on urban culture, Kampala is expected to deliver one of the toughest and most exciting audition rounds yet. From street dance collectives to amapiano-inspired crews and Afro-fusion performers, organisers anticipate a wide range of styles and performances reflective of the city’s diversity.

The Nakulabye auditions are expected to attract not only dancers but also nightlife enthusiasts, DJs and fans eager to witness the next generation of dance talent take over the stage.

Speaking ahead of the auditions, the Tusker Lite Brand Manager said, “Bringing Neon Raves to Kampala is a major moment for the platform because the city has such a deep and competitive dance culture. We have seen incredible talent across the country, and now we are excited to see how Kampala crews respond. We expect energy, originality and performances that will raise the level of the competition even higher.”

For the dancers, the Kampala auditions represent more than qualification — they are an opportunity to prove themselves in the country’s biggest entertainment market and earn a place at the grand finale later this month.

The Kampala edition also marks the final regional stop of the Neon Raves journey before all roads lead to the national finale, where winning crews from across the country will face off in one major showdown to determine Uganda’s ultimate dance crew champion.

As Saturday approaches, Supremacy Lounge is preparing for a night where music, movement and competition will collide under neon lights, with only the strongest crews earning the right to move forward.

And if the previous editions are anything to go by, Kampala is unlikely to disappoint.
