PZ Cussons has appointed Growell Uganda Limited as the new distributor of its Imperial Leather and Venus Haircare brands in Uganda, in a move aimed at expanding their availability across the country.
The partnership was announced at a launch dinner held on Saturday evening at Hotel Africana in Kampala, attended by media, trade partners, salonists, retailers and content creators.
Growell will take over distribution of the two brands with immediate effect, supplying products to major supermarkets, retail shops and salons across Uganda. The company will also distribute other PZ Cussons brands, including Morning Fresh and Roberts.
The launch also marked the introduction of Imperial Leather’s “Sticks With You” campaign, alongside new products such as Imperial Leather body mists and exfoliating soaps.
Venus Haircare has also expanded its product range with the launch of Venus Finishing Mousse and Venus Braid Spray. These join the brand’s existing Moisture Seal and Anti-Dandruff ranges.
Cynthia Abuti, Brand Manager for Haircare at PZ Cussons, said the partnership would help the company reach more consumers through a wider distribution network.
“A brand is only as strong as the hands that carry it. With Growell Uganda Limited as our distributor, we have a partner whose promise is right there in their name: great distribution,” Abuti said.
Lorna Mwangi, General Manager of Growell Uganda Limited, said the company was committed to ensuring reliable supply and nationwide availability of the brands.

As part of the partnership, retailers will receive trade offers and access to a more consistent supply of products. A branded roadshow truck will also visit markets over the coming days, bringing product activations, promotional offers and giveaways to consumers.
