Controversies seem to go hand in hand with Makerere University professor, Dr. Stella Nyanzi. This time around she has declared that she is to seek medical attention at Butabika Mental Institute to confirm to both herself and her critics the state of her mental status.

This comes after many of her critics implied that her mental stability was in question, especially after her naked protest.

Dr. Nyanzi who’s currently on suspension pending disciplinary action from the university council, took to her Facebook page to announce her intentions to adhere to her critics’ advice to seek mental check-up.

Dr. Nyanzi recently stripped naked and posted the nude photos all over social media demonstrating her eviction from her office at MISR. She has since dazzled her large number of followers with a countless number of controversial write-ups. This stimulated a lot of mixed reactions hence a good number of her followers suggesting that she visits a mental institute for checkup.

”This week, I plan to go to Butabika National Referral and Teaching mental hospital for a test. You people have said that I am mentally sick so many times that I want to know for sure that I am not. If you hear the hateful lies about you many times you begin to believe them.” Dr. Stella Nyanzi wrote in her Facebook post.

This post was also met with a lot of mixed reactions as most disagreed saying that she doesn’t need the test because she’s perfectly normal while others insisted that it was a good idea for her declining mental capacity.

Dr. Stella Nyanzi however insisted that the move was solely for the purpose of disproving her critics and not that she needed the test in any way whatsoever.

”I  will ask to be tested specifically for madness. I need the diagnosis as another weapon to throw at all you, haters!” she wrote.
