Guess who was star struck on meeting Kenyan Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o? Our very own comedienne Anne Kansiime who commands a legion of fans herself. Kansiime met Lupita over lunch and she was surprised that the Oscar winner is down to earth.
“Today, I had lunch with the amazing Lupita Nyong’o and let me help you understand the madness that was;
First of all, I could hardly speak, I was screaming inside, I had a thousand questions to ask but instead stared at her throughout, she is so real, so botanical indeed, she hasn’t forgotten herself at all and am still recovering from the whole experience. That said, Kenya produced a real jewel. God bless this lady,” Kansiime posted on her Facebook wall.
She also had photo opportunities with Lupita’s parents. Lupita is currently in the country, filming The Queen of Katwe movie, based on the true life story of chess prodigy Phiona Muteesi. The movie is director by Mira Nair, who is wife to Makerere don, Prof. Mahmood Mamdani.
