Award winning Richard Bona to arrive on June 28 for Johnnie Walker jazz Safari

With less than two weeks to the eleventh edition of the Johnnie Walker Jazz Safari due June 30, we have received news that all is set for the event headliner, Grammy Award winner Richard Bona to be in Kampala.

According to a reliable source, the celebrated American bassist is set to land in Uganda on Thursday, June 28 ahead of the event slated for Saturday June 30. The source told us Bona will be flying in with his entire band and as is the norm for all visiting Jazz Safari performers, and will engage in some charity work before his performance.

Bona will share the stage with local jazz musicians like Kaz Kasozi, BlackRoots UNLIMITED, Michael Kitanda, Tony Trumpeta and Aloysious Migadde.

The eleventh edition of the Johnnie Walker Jazz Safari will this year be held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo, lakeside.

Individual tickets to the concert go for Shs130k, while a table of 10 goes for Shs3m. Tickets are on sale at Game Lugogo, Shoprite Acacia Mall and House of Walker (Sheraton Hotel).
