Ykee Benda willing to translate Bobi Wine’s Corona Alert song to Kinyarwanda after Rwandan Government put up Shs18m for translation

Earlier today, Kigali Updates, a news site in Rwanda reported that after Bobi Wine’s Corona Alert Song caught attention of the population worldwide, Rwandan government is considering using the song to create awareness amongst its people.

In this, government of Rwanda put (about Shs18 million) to anyone who translates the song to Kinyarwanda.

Through his official twitter handle, singer Ykee Benda has offered himself to do the job and walk away with the whooping $5000.

By press time, Bobi Wine’s Corona Alert Song had 874,000 views on YouTube.

Rwanda has confirmed 104 coronavirus infections with two recoveries to date, the second-highest number in the region after Kenya which has 158 cases.
