Ever since singer Bobi Wine joined Parliament and later expressed his intentions to stand for the Presidency of Uganda, musicians, entertainers and socialites are finding more relevance commenting on political affairs than what they are traditionally known for.

The latest to jump on the political bandwagon is South African based socialite Zarinah Hassan Tlale commonly known as Zari.

In a live video, Zari noted that to be president, one needs credentials and she is not sure about Bobi Wine’s. She wondered why Bobi’s People Power supports are so emotional that they want change just for the sake of it not minding about the effects.

Zari also hit at People Power supporters for their intolerance. “We do not disagree with your opinion, but why do you have a problem when we share ours? We are entitled to our opinions like you are entitled to yours,” she said.

“Do not intimidate me. I believe in what I support,” she said following a barrage of abuses from People Power supporters.

Zari came on the social scene as a wife to big spending socialite Ivan Ssemwanga (R.I.P) who was known for flashy cars and “lit” open bar parties. Zari broke up with Ivan and dated South African star Diamond Platnumz, and the two got two children before they broke up. Zari had earlier produced three children from her relationship with Ivan.
