Afro-soul crooner Kenneth Mugabi has earned himself a name as one of the most notable crooners in town. His songs such as Naaki, Nami, Kibun’omu, and Nkwegomba have been favorites among fans in the music sphere.

His music has transcended artforms and has been featured in various local films with the latest being Loukman Ali’s sixteen rounds.
His fans ride so hard for him that a one Mr. Wurld Ug drew a conclusion that Kenneth comes second after the iconic Paul Kafeero in terms of artistry.

This week, a swarm of influencers have been making buzz on Twitter about the fact that Mugabi’s yet-to-be-released album, People of The Land is costing $100. When equated to Ugandan shillings, it is roughly Shs350,000.

This price comes in at a premium because Ugandan artists hardly charge an amount for an album.

Infamous tweep, Esther Birungi took to her Twitter and cheered on;
‘It might sound insane but worth it, @kennethmugabi’s price tag for his upcoming Album is $100 per copy. He is truly Ugandan and his music is authentic. Let’s support him!!!” she roared.

With 112 retweets and 591 likes, it seems the masses are gravitating towards this thought.

Kenneth Mugabi himself could not help himself but quote and retweet the tweet as well.

Another tweep that identifies himself as Gabriel Buule added his voice to the conversation;
@Kennethmugabi will be announcing the release dates for his upcoming album #PeopleoffTheLand. He will not only sell 50 records each at $100 & of course, this will be the most expensive music record product price in the history of Uganda’s music.

Kenneth Mugabi has admittedly been sleeping in the studio while likening his experience to the winter banging experience that is synonymous with early morning preparations in school.
