Kampala City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago’s new official car, a Land cruiser V8 hybrid, has got the town buzzing.
The photo of Lukwago’s new ride taken from the parking at City Hall is making the rounds on social media.
Lukwago has been riding in a 2012 model Land Rover Discovery 4 since 2012 and many have been wondering why the government is taking too long to buy the Lord Mayor a new official car.
We can now confirm that Lukwago has joined the list of top officials to receive new rides. The Land Cruiser hybrid is a state-of-the-art car that is worth every penny spent.
The base model Land Cruiser hybrid costs around $85,655 (about Shs327m) minus taxes. The monster ride is outfitted with a 381-horsepower V8 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive.
