Jane Kasuubo, the mother of late singer Mowzey Radio, is seeking public assistance to raise Shs350 million to purchase the land leading to her son’s grave in Kagga, Nakawuka, Wakiso District.

In a recent interview, Kasuubo shared that she has been negotiating with the landowners, with some agreeing to sell their portions. However, the main landowner is demanding Shs350 million for their share.

Kasuubo also revealed that she approached Eddy Kenzo, president of the Uganda National Musician Federation (UNMF), for help, but he has yet to fulfill his promises.

She is now looking to this Friday’s concert by Weasel (Radio’s former singing partner), where proceeds will be shared, to help raise the necessary funds.

Kasuubo believes that acquiring the land will facilitate easier access for visitors to Mowzey Radio’s grave, which has become a tourist attraction.
