The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has expressed deep disappointment over recent violent clashes between popular musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso.

Speaking during a meeting with singer Spice Diana ahead of her upcoming concert, Mayiga criticized the altercations, which began on December 31 at the Buganda Kingdom’s Enkuuka festival. The dispute later escalated to the Empere festival in Entebbe and even spilled over to Alien Skin’s residence in Kampala.

The Katikkiro stated that artists should channel their energy into creating music rather than engaging in physical confrontations, which he described as both unproductive and harmful.

“It is unacceptable for artists to engage in fights,” Mayiga stated. “I know both Patrick Mulwana, known as Alien Skin, and Pius Mayanja, popularly called Pallaso. They should have reached out to me before the situation worsened. I could have mediated and resolved the matter peacefully.”

The Katikkiro also expressed his readiness to mediate and reconcile the two musicians. He encouraged all artists to seek peaceful avenues for resolving disputes, stressing that violence only tarnishes their reputation and derails their careers.
