Singer Baby Gloria real name Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, has officially taken another major step towards marriage. On Friday, she and her longtime partner, Jonas Mbaleka, held a joyful Kukyala ceremony at her parents’ home.
Baby Gloria took to her social media to thank her fiancé and her family for their support and for making the day so memorable. She shared her excitement, writing, “Thank you my love for coming home 🥂💋❤️🤍 You have made me proud 🥹. Glory to God for this beautiful day.”
In Buganda culture, Kukyala is a traditional ceremony where the prospective groom formally visits the bride’s family to introduce himself and express his intentions.
It is the first official step in the traditional marriage process, often accompanied by the exchange of gifts and discussions about the future.
Baby Gloria and Jonas Mbaleka, who publicly revealed their relationship in March this year, are receiving full support and blessings from both their families.
With the Kukyala now complete, preparations for the Kwanjula (traditional introduction ceremony) and the wedding are already underway.
