Familiar faces shine at Victoria University’s 8th graduation ceremony

Victoria University is holding its 8th graduation ceremony at Speke Resort Convention Centre, Munyonyo.

The joyous occasion is honouring the accomplishments of 1,470 graduates who have successfully earned their Master’s degrees, Bachelor’s, Diplomas, and Certificates in different disciplines.

Victoria University Founder and Chairman of Ruparelia Group, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, together with the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, are among the high-profile guests who have graced the ceremony.

Among the graduates are several familiar faces from various fields who have been conferred degrees, adding a touch of celebrity flair to the ceremony.

One of the most prominent figures in attendance was Miles Rwamiti, a renowned media personality, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Baby Gloria.

Singer and Victoria University’s brand ambassador, Gloria Mulungi, popularly known as Baby Gloria, is also among those graduating. “It’s been an honour representing Victoria University Kampala, one of the finest institutions in Uganda. Together, we made it happen,” she noted.

Sharon O.

Sharon O, the former lead singer of the Ugandan group Obsessions and actress, has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.

Another actress, Nduhukire Rachael.

Another actress, Nduhukire Rachael, who has featured in the Jamaa and Sanyu TV series, is graduating with a First-Class Degree.

She wrote on her Twitter, “It takes a village and you have been part of that village. The journey was far from easy, but today, by God’s grace, I graduate with First-Class honours and as Valedictorian with a GPA of 4.84. For your continued prayers, support, affirmation, and encouragement, I am beyond grateful. May God bless you abundantly.”

Francis Isano.

Francis Isano, a photographer attached to Next Media Services, is graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa, who is the Guest of Honour at the ceremony, cautioned the graduates on the appropriate usage of social media, as it shapes the kind of personality they portray to the outside world.

Matooke Republic congratulates all graduates and wishes them success in their future endeavours.
