Veteran singer Buchaman, once the Vice President of the Firebase Crew, has expressed desire to reconcile with his former boss and longtime friend, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.

Buchaman and Bobi Wine share a long history that dates back more than a decade, when they dominated Uganda’s music scene under the Firebase label.

However, after parting ways to pursue a solo career, Buchaman admits his journey has not turned out as he expected.

In a recent interview, the singer opened up about his struggles since leaving the group, saying that despite holding the title of Presidential Advisor on Ghetto Affairs, life has been far from easy.

“I have no problem with Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, and if he calls me to join him, I can go,” Buchaman said.

“Right now, all the people I left in Firebase are doing better than me. I’m in NRM but still suffering — so yes, I regret leaving Bobi Wine.”

Some of the artists Buchaman referred to include Nubian Li, Mike Wine, and Banjo Man, who have continued to thrive and maintain close ties with Bobi Wine.

Buchaman further revealed that despite his position in government, his calls for support have been ignored, leaving him struggling to make ends meet.

He now hopes to make peace and possibly work with Bobi Wine again, believing that a reunion could help uplift both his career and the wider ghetto community he has long represented.
