Minister of State for Youth, Hon Balaam Barugahara, has said he misses his signature orange T-shirt, noting that his current role comes with a strict dress code.

Balaam, who was once widely known for regularly wearing the orange T-shirt, said his position as a minister requires him to dress formally from Monday to Friday.

“I wear suits from Monday to Friday because I have to respect the office the President appointed me to,” Balaam said.

He, however, revealed that during his free time—such as when he is at home or doing physical exercise—he still wears his beloved orange T-shirt.

In many interviews, Balaam has consistently said he appreciates the simplicity of the orange T-shirt, especially how easy it is to pair with other clothing items.

“These luxurious suits are giving me a hard time. They take long to dry, and I have to iron them every time they are washed,” he added.
