Singer and politician Nina Roz has opened up about her past relationship with fellow artiste Daddy Andre, saying being with someone who understood the demands of her career made the experience special.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, Nina Roz said dating another musician gave the relationship an advantage because they understood the pressures that come with working in the music industry.
She said the two were able to support each other creatively, share ideas and understand what the other person was trying to achieve in their music careers.
Their relationship also extended into the studio, where they collaborated on songs including Billboard Kipande, Nangana and Andele.
According to Nina Roz, their personal connection helped create a comfortable working environment and allowed them to experiment with music more freely.
Although the relationship eventually ended, she said she does not regret the experience and believes artistes should not be discouraged from dating people within the same industry.
Nina Roz acknowledged that relationships between artistes can come with their own challenges, including disagreements that can affect both the personal and professional sides of the relationship. However, she believes such relationships can work when both partners are willing to communicate and resolve their differences.
Her relationship with Daddy Andre became public after the pair held a private kukyala ceremony, which came as a surprise to many of their fans.
The couple later went their separate ways, but Nina Roz has recently brought renewed attention to their past after sharing previously private photos from their kukyala ceremony.
