Jose Chameleone real name Joseph Mayanja says he has invited Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Burundian President Évariste Ndayishimiye to attend his upcoming concert in Kampala.
Chameleone made the revelation during a TikTok Live conversation on Sunday night, saying both leaders are yet to confirm whether they will attend the event at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The singer said the invitations followed his recent meetings with the two East African presidents.
“Recently people saw me with President Samia, while some other [artists] are trying to take pictures with their MPs,” Chameleone said.
He added that he had invited Hassan and Ndayishimiye to his Lugogo concert, but had not yet received confirmation from either of them.
Chameleone met President Hassan in Zanzibar in August when he attended the Kizimkazi Festival. He later thanked the Tanzanian leader for the reception he received during the festival, whose closing ceremony was attended by Hassan on 14 August.
His relationship with President Ndayishimiye also dates back to December 2025, when the Burundian leader hosted him at Ntare Rushatsi Palace.
During that meeting, Chameleone presented plans to invest in Burundi’s creative industry, including a proposal to establish a modern music studio to help nurture young musicians.
The invitations come as Chameleone prepares for his long-awaited Chameleone Unlimited concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, an event that has undergone several changes to its original schedule.
