Former NBS TV news anchor Mildred Tuhaise has joined the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) as Manager of Public Engagement and Brand Ambassadorship.
The corporation’s Directorate of Public Relations and Communication announced her appointment, welcoming her to the NWSC team.
Tuhaise brings extensive experience in journalism and corporate communication, having worked in the media industry for nearly two decades.
NWSC described her as a communication professional with experience at national and institutional levels, including journalism, corporate communication and public sector management.
The corporation said she is skilled in handling sensitive issues, shaping institutional messaging and advising senior leaders on communication risks and opportunities.
Tuhaise left Next Media at the end of May 2026 after nearly 20 years in broadcast journalism.
She joined NBS TV from WBS TV in 2015 and became widely known for presenting news bulletins and the Morning Breeze programme.
