Veteran journalist Charles Mwanguhya Mpagi has returned to NBS Television as the host of its flagship political talk show, The Frontline.
Mwanguhya replaces Simon Kaggwa Njala, who had been hosting the programme on an interim basis.
The Frontline, which airs every Thursday at 10:00 p.m., is one of Uganda’s leading platforms for political debates and discussions on current affairs.
Mwanguhya first took charge of the show in September 2021 after succeeding Joseph Sabiti.
He later stepped away from television to pursue a political career ahead of the 2026 general elections. He contested in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries for the Burahya County parliamentary seat in Kabarole District but was unsuccessful.
