Former NTV Uganda news anchor Raymond Mujuni has been appointed Senior Policy Adviser at Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Although the ministry has not yet issued an official statement on the appointment, it was publicly disclosed by Jan Sadek, the European Union Ambassador to Uganda.
In a post on X, Sadek congratulated Mujuni following a meeting between the two.
“A pleasure to meet and congratulate Raymond who has been appointed Senior Policy Adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs! Thanks for coming by Raymond, we look forward to further strengthening the EU-Uganda Partnership together with you!” Sadek said.
Mujuni joins the ministry after more than a decade in journalism, where he established himself as an investigative journalist and current affairs broadcaster.
He rose to prominence at NTV Uganda before joining NBS Television in 2017 as part of its investigations team. He later returned to NTV in 2020, where he headed current affairs programming and hosted The Fourth Estate, an investigative and public-interest programme.
Mujuni has won several National Journalism Awards for investigative and explanatory reporting. His work has included investigations into sexual harassment at Makerere University and reporting on the MV Templar tragedy, among other public-interest stories.
