The Ruparelia Foundation has this Friday Commissioned an eco-brick toilet project to benefit Good Samaritan Primary School and the residents in the slums of Nsooba Kamwokya.

The project was financed using proceeds from the 2019 Royal Ascot Goat Races.

Plastic bottles collected from the slum were used to construct the eco toilets, hence the project playing a double role of improving community hygiene and environmental conservation through recycling the bottles.

At the facility commissioning, Ruparelia Group Managing Director, Rajiv Ruparelia was optmistic that the eco toilet project would improve hygiene in the area.

The eco project was undertaken by the Ruparelia Foundation in conjunction with the Ghetto Research Lab.

Good Samaritan Primary School has an enrollment of over 500 pupils.

Proceeds from the Royal Ascot Goat Races always go to charity. Cash collections from the event in 2018 funded Totos Tag Rugby and Outreach programme benefitting 250 children who were supported to train at the Kyadondo Rugby Club.
