A woman has shared her story of how her husband, with whom she has three children, faked his death and married another woman in the United States.

The story was shared on X page @Remssx, whose bio says “The voice of the anonymous. All stories are real. No fiction.”

In her narration, without specifying the timelines of when the incidents occurred, the woman claims that her husband connived with his sister to fake his death.

“My husband was taken to the US for cancer treatment. He did not allow me to go with him. His sister went with him. Despite being told that he had passed away and was buried in America, I later found out that he was alive and married to another woman,” reads the post in part.

Before going to the US, the man had allegedly taken a loan and used their house as collateral.

“I cried my eyes out. I couldn’t reach him. He didn’t give me the name of the hospital, and the sister only picked my calls once a week,” the woman narrated in the post.

After four weeks, the husband’s sister called to inform her of the husband’s death but stated that they could not bring his body back home for burial.

The woman further narrated that she later found out that her husband was alive.

“I have come to accept the situation and have chosen to focus on the positive aspects of my life. I am grateful for my children, and for the fact that we have a roof over our heads and are living with my supportive sister,” she said.
