Yes you read it people. The era of miracles has descended upon us. If you thought miracles and “holy merchandise” were only for  born again Christians, here comes a sheikh.

Appearing on ABS TV, Sheikh Yusufu Zayidi claimed he had the answers to all those struggling with harsh landlords because he is going to make them receive miracle houses after paying Shs25,000. Yes, with just Shs25,000, you can get a miracle mansion worth Shs700m!

Sheikh Yusufu Zayid
He revealed that the offer targets 600 tenants who are tired of renting.

When we contacted him to clarify on what house one will receive after paying the amount, he stated that it’s only work of faith.

“What you believe is what you get”, he stated.

This implies that if you pay Shs25,000 while praying for a mansion that is exactly what you will receive. If you pray while hoping for a two roomed or three roomed house, that will be your portion. According to the sheikh, faith is key here.

How the miracle works

He revealed to us in a phone call interview that the Shs25,000 caters for “holy food” and “holy water” which when consumed by the believer, with faith, will deliver him a house.
The delivery of the miracle of the house comes within a year of consumption of the holy food and water.

When we pressed further to get a clarification on what exact food he was selling, he mentioned some Arabic terms that baffled us. When we asked for the local names of the food, he became very defensive and stated that he “is not interrogated” on phone and hang up!

According to 2014 census, the population of Kampala is inhabited by 3.5m people with over 80% of them as tenants. Sheikh Zayidi claims to be offering the miracle to 600 people only on first come first serve basis. His total collection will be Shs15m.

The day of miracles will be held at a Duwaa prayer session on April 2.
