KCCA to install 30,000 CCTV cameras

In a bid to effectively monitor crime around public places, it has emerged that Kampala Capital City Authority(KCCA) will need to install over 30,000 Close Circuit Television Cameras.



According Steven Ntambi an engineer at KCCA, the cameras will help police to monitor security around the city and also help them identify criminals.

Assailants on boda bodas murdered the Assistant Inspector General of police Afande Felix Kaweesi at the closure of last week and fled.

 President Museveni came in and issued an order of immediate installation of CCTV cameras by KCCA along public places that it would ease investigations for police incase such attacks happen again.
