Kikoni crime preventers arrested for allegedly kidnapping 17-year-old South Sudanese national

Crime preventers and residents of Kikoni Parish; David Niwamanya, Ashiraf Sebuffu, Godwin Muhoozi and James Mubiru were arrested by Police after allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old James Apal, a South Sudanese national.

According to Police, the kidnappers were calling the family members negotiating a ransom of Shs4m.

On ascertaining the point of the ransom delivery, police surrounded Cynibel Supermarket Naalya and arrested the kidnappers, also saving the victim.

Police also impounded the vehicle UAH 031E that was used by the kidnappers and has since detained them at Ntinda Police station case SD13/26/04/2018.
