Ham Enterprises Ltd, a leading real estate firm has come out to disassociate themselves from city lawyer Muzamil Bikanga who is currently detained by the Chieftaincy of military Intelligence (CMI) as a suspect on allegations that he participated in the February kidnap and subsequent murder of Susan Magara.

The gruesome murder of Magara 28, then a cashier at her father tycoon John Magara’s Bwendero Diary Farm shocked the nation and security forces have been putting the pieces together.

Bikanga’s name had been cited in connection with Magara’s murder by some of the suspects arrested last Saturday morning following a raid by security operatives at Usafi mosque in Kisenyi.

Following his arrest, some sections of the media linked him to Ham Enterprises claiming he is a legal officer in the company. However, Ham Enterprises has come out and rubbished the claims as baseless and unfounded lies being peddled by some unscrupulous members of the public to blackmail the company.

The company says Bikanga has never been part of its legal team and that that those tagging the detained lawyer to it have their own motives only known to themselves.

Bikanga had also been linked to Bunyoro Kingdom but it released a statement disassociating themselves from him.

Bunyoro Prime Minister Andrew Byakutaga, stated that Bikanga was once a member of the kingdom’s cabinet but his services were terminated in January.

“This is to clarify that Mr. Muzamil Bikanga ceased being a member of Bunyoro- Kitala kingdom on January 15, 2018 when his majesty terminated the services of the former Prime Minister Norman Lukumu and dissolved the entire cabinet,” Byakutaga said on Friday afternoon.

“Therefore, media reports referring to him as a Deputy Attorney General or attorney general of Bunyoro-Kitara kingdom are false.”
