Age Limit ruling delayed after Judge finds threatening chit in his chambers

The age limit ruling was delayed by over an hour after one of the five Constitutional Court Judges found a piece of paper in his chambers threatening him. 

The highly anticipated ruling that took place at Mbale High Court was supposed to be delivered at 9:30 am but stretched till 10:45 am after the Judge, whose names will not be disclosed took cover in another Judge’s chambers until the Court was declared safe.

Deputy Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, the lead Judge of the Court told the apologized to the impatient court adding that Judges have to left to do their work. 

“I want to urge people, that the way you go to Mulago hospital and leave the doctors to do their work, please leave it to judicial officers also do their work,” he said.
