Doctors in Lubaga hospital have warned that Mityana Municipality MP, Francis could be permanently disabled if he does not get specialised treatment out of Uganda.

In a secret letter to his family and authorities at Parliament of Uganda dated August 20, Dr. Andrew Ssekitoleko, the executive director of Lubaga Hospital warned Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga that Zaake “could suffer permanent disability if nothing is done to help him.”

“He has severe tenderness (pain) along his backbone from the neck downwards. It is consistent with injury to his spinal cord and will need further evaluation by a neurologist,” Sssekitoleko wrote.

The doctor added that; “Spinal injuries could lead to permanent disability if not managed promptly or adequately.”

Zaake, just like Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and others who were arrested in Arua following the August 13 violence was tortured in detention and dumped at several hospitals before surfacing at Rubaga.

According to President Museveni, Zaake escaped from police custody and will be arrested as soon as he gets better.

Earlier this, Jacob Oulanyah, the deputy speaker of Parliament paid Zaake a courtesy visit and in his own words, “Zaake, like Kyagulanyi, was in a lot of pain.”
